International Women’s Day #BreakTheBias
This month marks International Women’s Day – a day for celebrating women’s achievements, raising awareness against prejudice, and taking action for equality. Whilst it is important to mark this date it is also vital to realise creating change is more than one day of activity and that all of us have a part to play in challenging assumptions and obstacles that hinder progression to gender inequality in the workplace. Encouragingly many businesses are taking significant steps to ensure there is a level playing field for all genders in the workplace, but we can all do our bit. Sometimes small changes such as thinking about the language we are using, offering support to a colleague or an act of solidarity can have a big impact in ways we might not even realise.
